But humanity survived, and the world owes it all to a robot by the name of Mega Man.    An aged man with a large, bushy, white beard relaxes in an armchair, staring at a television set. A pink robot walks to the chair holding a tray. Her coat of metal is tinted pink, and her eyes flash blue. There is a patch of artificial skin over her face, to make her head look more human. A law enforcer chased a figure down a destroyed road into an alley between a tenement building and what looked like it used to be a dry cleaner, but was now a ruined little structure that looked as if a wrecking ball had fallen on it. The chase continued through the playground of Queens Middle School, which was covered in soot and dust.
